Jupiter, Florida has some amazing beaches and stunning oceanfront condos for sale. From the Southern-side of Jupiter Inlet to the Juno Beach Pier, the waters of the Atlantic Ocean meet the white sand of Jupiter Beach and have been beckoning residents and visitors for decades. In 1973 a Holiday Inn hotel was built just South of Jupiter Inlet right on the beach, which would be the tallest building in Jupiter at the time. That Holiday Inn is still standing, but is now the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa. The Juno Ranch Motel was a popular motel and bar back in the 70s that sat on the East side of A1A in Jupiter just a short drive South from the old Holiday Inn. “The Ranch” as the locals called it is now The Jupiter Reef Club. What makes these two properties unique is that they sit directly on the beach.
With the exception of Ocean Trail built in 1983, every condominium and townhouse that is oceanfront in Jupiter is now on the West-side of A1A. There simply wasn’t enough room between A1A and the beach to build anything. In fact parts of the original A1A washed away and had to be rebuilt, which resulted in sections of the new A1A running right along the “old” A1A which is where the term “Double Roads” came from. Double Roads is now part of the beautiful parking areas and bikes trails that make Jupiter beach so enjoyable. They have also limited the height of condos in Jupiter since Ocean Trail was built to try to keep Jupiter from becoming another Singer Island or Miami Beach.
Starting with Oceancrest in 1982 and Corinthians in 1985, there have been more and more oceanfront condos being built on Jupiter’s oceanfront, but there are large tracts of land that are set aside as nature preserves which will keep the area from being overly crowded in the years ahead. From opulent penthouses with panoramic views of the Jupiter area to quaint beach-side townhouses, there is something to please everyone in Jupiter’s oceanfront condominium market.
