Among Jupiter Florida homes for sale right now, one of our favorite communities is an upscale golfing and boating development called Jonathan’s Landing.
Jonathan’s Landing manages to distinguish itself in an arguably crowded Jupiter real estate market in its location and value; mere minutes from the international airport at Palm Beach, Jonathan’s Landing managed to situate itself along a stunning view corridor along the Intracoastal Waterway, while still boasting three distinct and unique 18-hole championship golf courses as part of its amenities — The JL Village Course, The Fazio At Old Trail, and The Hills At Old Trail. So for golf enthusiasts, there’s a lot to like here.
The first two courses, The JL Village and The Fazio, were both designed by the legendary Tom Fazio. The JL Village is a Par 71 course perhaps best known in the area for its unusual approach to the 17th hole — you have to get there by boat! After a challenging tee shot and clearing several water hazards, players and their carts are shuttled on the JL Village Ferryboat across a boating channel for the approach to the green.
The Fazio at Old Trail is a quiet, beautifully-designed course that’s played host to a number of amateur and professional championship events since its construction in 1985. The longest 3-shot hole on this Par 72 course is the 14th, where at 217 yards any golfer would be delighted to make par.
And finally there’s the eponymous Hills course, designed and constructed in 1991 by Arthur Hills. A perfect counterpoint to the long, strong holes at the Fazio course, the Hills requires golfers to focus on accuracy over power — with the exception of the 10th hole, a 542-yard Par 5 where a heavy hitter can save a few shots.
