Juno Beach, Florida is a small sea-side town just South of Jupiter that was incorporated in 1953. The first planned development of the area was in the late 1940s when Bessemer Properties dredged a pond the local garden club named Pelican Pond in a tract of land just North of E.F. Hutton’s Seminole Golf Club with the intent of building a new community there. Along with the pond, Bessemer built a 500 foot fishing pier at the end of Mercury Way that extended over 500 feet into the Atlantic Ocean that became a huge boon with visitors and residents alike wanting to fish off the pier. That pier would last until the Thanksgiving storm of 1984 tore it beyond repair. The pond, pier and subsequent community opened Juno Beach for planned development and in the 1960s the oceanfront condominiums began bringing new residents and visitors to the town.
That pond is now called Pelican Lake, there are three luxury townhouses at the end of Mercury Way where the original pier stood and a new pier has opened by the border with Jupiter. Florida Power & Light, a major corporation, has made Juno Beach its headquarters and development is still changing the shape of Juno Beach.
Juno Beach offers a wide array of real estate option from the stunning oceanfront condominiums that dot Ocean Drive to luxurious Intracoastal waterfront estate homes to affordable single family homes and townhouses, there is something to please everyone.
