North Hobe Sound Shores is an older waterfront real estate community dating back to the early 60s that offers single family homes on canals with boat docks that lead out to the Intracoastal waterway located off S.E. Gomez Avenue in Hobe Sound, Florida. There is also a section of landlocked single family homes on the West side of S.E. Gomez Avenue. This is another waterfront neighborhood that has seen an increase in investors buying the homes just for the land and tearing them down to build bigger, more luxurious homes on the lots. You might see a brand new opulent mansion for sale right next door to a home built in the 60s.
The homes in North Hobe Sound Shores come in an array of floor-plans that run between four bedroom four bath models with over 4,200 s.f. of living space built in 2001 with direct Intracoastal frontage to three bedroom two bath models with 816 s.f. built in 1963. There also are currently larger homes under construction here.
There are no fixed bridges between North Hobe Sound Shores and either St. Lucie Inlet or Jupiter Inlet, so larger boats with tuna towers and outriggers are not a problem.
Hobe Sound beach is on the East side of S.E. Bridge Road, just a short drive away. Jimmy Graham Park is just up the street where you can launch your boat from a trailer. Peck’s Lake is a great spot to spend the day on your boat. Port Salerno has some charming waterfront dining establishments and is just a short drive to the North by boat or car. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is also great place to spend the day whether you want to go mountain biking, canoeing or just walk the trails.
